UNITED WAY OPENS 2024 GRANT PROGRAM

United Way of the Eastern Panhandle Kicks Off New Grant Cycle

MARTINSBURG, WV – United Way of the Eastern Panhandle (UWEP) is pleased to announce the opening of the 2024-2025 LIVE UNITED grant applications. Any 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, including schools and government agencies, that serve the West Virginia counties of Morgan, Berkeley and Jefferson are eligible to apply for funding.

Through the Community Solutions Fund, United Way works to strengthen the nonprofit sector by investing in local programs that align with the organization’s four strategic impact areas of education, financial stability, health, and basic needs. Applications should demonstrate consistency with the United Way mission, values, priorities, and commitment to addressing identified community needs.

An organization may submit multiple applications for separate programs. However, any funded program may receive only one LIVE UNITED grant per UWEP’s fiscal year which runs from July 1 to June 30. All grant proposals must align with United Way’s impact areas.

The application process is overseen by UWEP’s Board of Directors and its Community Investment Committee.

Over the past fiscal year, United Way of the Eastern Panhandle has been able to invest in 32 programs at 29 agencies throughout the Eastern Panhandle with grants from the Community Solutions Fund.

A virtual information meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 22th at 1:30 p.m. Attending the meeting is not required but highly recommended. To join the Zoom meeting, visit uwayep.org/united-way-grants.

The grant application period will run from May 20th, 2024 to June 4th, 2024.  Applications and more details are available on UWEP's website at uwayep.org/united-way-grants.
